Lies do not become us, pt 1

"We are men of action, lies do not become us." - The Princess Bride

And, so it is, for America. I'm about to tell you something you won't like. I'm going to give you words that will fill you with anger and frustration - so be prepared - because I'm going to tell you the truth. America, the United States Of; is the most vile, corrupted and horrid of all nations on this big, beautiful Earth.

Hate me yet? You should - that's a terrible thing to say. Why? Because I LOVE America. Because I CARE about our Country. But, it's for THAT VERY REASON, that I say what I do. I cannot stand by while the nation I love dies under the regime of tyranny and disappears forever.

When countries like Cuba or Russia or China issue out laws that condemn their children to death, permit people to be shot in the streets and allow the government to commit whatever attrocities they want (sorry to Cuba, Russia and China - you were the easiest to pick on, so I did!), they don't "hide," it. They just do it. They say they're going to do it, and then they do. What they're doing is terrible for sure, but it's not a deception or guise. It's done because it's a tyrannical regime and they admit it. But, when a country does the very same thing and lies about it; hides it; manipulates the media to report otherwise and then drives its people into a frenzied hatred for the very same thing against another country - it becomes something worse.

I've learned a lot in my investigations into spirituality, and one statement made by the founder of the specific church I am attending said the following: "We cannot blame Satan for our mistakes. The devil lurks in the shadows waiting to pounce, but we must each be accountable to ourselves and one another for our own actions." - Joseph Smith [paraphrased to be inclusive here]. He was right. I have seen evil. I know it exists. I watched it destroy my life and tear my family apart. I'm sitting at its doorsteps, waiting to take my medicine for some brutal violation of the Constitution because evil exists. However - people are people. We make mistakes, and sometimes - intentionally. Sometimes it's for profit, or revenge, and sometimes, it's just because we can. Here's the sad part - the reason that some of you may not know - may not understand - what I'm talking about, is because "they," [our government], have spent billions of dollars (of your money - don't forget that), to shield you from the truth. If you knew what was happening in your own back yard, you would no longer be able to simply live life. You would be forced into action against the very people you elected into office. The fact is - we cannot blame "evil," for the evil that has corrupted America IS its so-called "authorities."

So, I ask you - why do we care about Obama's health care plan? Heck, why do we care about ANY of the ridiculous, irrational and corrupted laws the politicians make? Why should we care that Congress just gave themselves a raise? After all - this is a Republic - and our inaliable rights are protected by a set of unchangable doctrines as set forth within the Constitution; and, it is a government run by the people. If the politicians are going against the people for their own greed and their own self-righteousness, we can simply ignore them, can't we?

Well, that is, unless of course, they enforce their corruption through some form of life-threatening fear. I don't know, like say, law enforcement? I'm not saying law enforcement itself is corrupt (the authorities do a great job saying that for themselves), but I am pointing out that the words printed on every police car: "To protect and to serve," is a miscommunication. For, you see, it is to protect and to serve whomever is the most financially beneficial to them at that particular moment in time. If they are protecting and serving the financial goals of Legislature AGAINST the people - then we are NOT the recipients of their services - just the ones paying for it. Of course, this is all easy to say - so I better start providing some examples for you non-believers:

Cell phone bans. Cell phone bans in automobiles are happening as a direct result of a series of violent and dangerous accidents that could have been avoided had the driver been paying attention! HAHAHAHAHA - no wait, oops, I was reading my fiction book again - let me flip over to my reality book... oh yeah... here it is: Cell phone bans are happening because there is a potential for a dangerous accident if someone's not paying attention while driving.

You mean, like idiots, right?

Yep - pretty sure that cell phone isn't what's distracting an idiot. Pretty sure that was an accident just waiting to happen, because they're just BAD drivers! But, on that topic, I'll digress. What's important here is this: WE ARE GUILTY. YES - YOU AND I. YOU - the reader - who has NOT been in an accident, who has NOT hurt anyone as a direct result of your blatant negligence to look at the road while prioritizing on a phone call; YOU ARE GUILTY. You WILL hurt someone. You WILL cause pain and suffering.

No - no trial for you. No Constitutional rights to be protected in your person or things without at least being charged with a crime or being faced by a jury of your peers. YOU ARE DANGEROUS. So, we HAVE to take away your cell phones. (I won't waste the time here explaining the HUGE boost for the "telephone accessories," industries this is actually supporting... hmmmm). We have to punish you. We HAVE TO GET YOU BEFORE YOU GET US. Sound familiar? If not - go read my previous article on FANATICAL LEADERS.

Lies do not become us, pt 2

[cont'd from before]

Is that it, though? Is it simply that the government can make laws to support (ahahahaha... ) Capitalism and punish you, the innocent? Oh wait, these laws are to protect you. That's why there are heavy-duty fines for driving down the road witha cell phone - or rather - FEAR induced law enforcement that if you do this MAJOR BAD THING, you will lose money you don't have. You will pay for every other IDIOT on the road. It is for our safety, right? Well, if we read the "fictional," story about the millions of accidents daily occurring from cell phone use and ignore the other stories about accidents happening for one million other reasons, then sure - it's all about the people! After all, the people asked for this bill, didn't they? This wasn't some special interest group or self-righteous politician, was it? It certainly wasn't media driven, was it?

Oops. I think you know the answer. It was special interest. It was media driven fear. But, let's get back to the fact that: without the use of law enforcement as enforcers through fear, stupid laws, anymore than good laws, could not be enforced. Our tax money couldn't be used without our permission. Our corporations wouldn't be shut down, or bought out, without our say-so. The police have been used to keep people out of Townhall meetings. And, in a court of law, the authorities - the same ones who get busted for rape, theft, murder, assault and every other possible crime (because they're human), are given the "preference," as conveyers of only truth.

Two things: First off - this HAS to stop. Conveyers of truth? Go out and do your own internet search for corruption+police. See it for yourself and then decide if you would trust them outright (also noting that police can pass lie detector tests while lying - because while on the force - they're TAUGHT to lie.. hmmm?); and secondly, when our government uses law enforcement for corruption - we are only encouraging this behavior. But, it certainly doesn't stop there. There is corruption in District Attorneys, Attorney Generals, Judges, Magistrates, Senators and the list goes on. While I would like to spend this entire blog telling you everything that they are doing that I have personally bore witness to - the point of this article was how UGLY, America is, in relationship to the rest of the world, for this reason.

"We're the free-est country in the world!" Really? Ever look at the laws? Ever look at the counter-cases to the Constitution - that doctrine of freedom to which you refer as the basis for this being a truly, free Republic? Ever see how many hundreds of times per day - YES - HUNDREDS OF TIMES PER DAY - the Constitution is negated for prosecutors, law enforcement and government officials?

"We're the fairest nation on Earth!" Oh yeah, we are SO super fair. Congress can vote for their own raises, but the rest of us have to earn it. The police are one of the biggest UNIONS in existence. When the media talks about how the AFL-CIO and other unions have caused corruption for the American worker, don't miss out on the fact that law enforcement is protected behind a union. That's why you'll read stories of cops shooting innocent, unarmed children and getting a paid - "probation." And, of course - just look at our monetary system. It's not like there's the elitist rich and the homeless poor? After all - if there was - both chose their own path, didn't they?

"We are the most caring Country in the world!" Sure we are. That's why, in Oregon, DHS/Child Protective Services, gets a D or F grading score, not for "failure," to protect children, but what they're doing to them - for 11 years running now! That's why there are senators petitioning the Congress to hear their plea to put a stop to the child laundering scheme of CPS (no - not people - the government), but are ignored because other Senators profit from it (no - not conspiracy - I'll post the link if you want it).

"We are the most powerful country in the world." Yep, and Roman Polanski sits untouched, because their comes a time in the course of human events when the rest of the world must tell this bumbling giant known as the United States to back the heck off and start trying to think with our brains, not our butts!

America, The Beautiful? Sorry, not anymore. I would have said so only three years ago. Of course, I was watching television and had a tendency to believe at least some of what I was seeing. I supported the difficulties our 9-1-1 and military folks faced. I understood the plight of America to help out with foreign matters where oppression was concerned. Then, I woke up. Then, I watched as the doors of a church in Texas were busted down by cops with semi-automatic weapons, hauling off screaming, crying, innocent and frightened children in a bus from good, loving families. I watched as a nation positioned hatred against another country merely to support a war movement. I wtched and understood what the military does and says to the men and women we care about. I watched as special interest groups pushed our money into the toilet, flushed it, and then blamed US for it! I watched as children went hungry to the point of dying, politicians traded off favors and officers of the law lied to "catch a 'supposedly' bad guy." I watched as District Attorneys continued to aggressively attack a young adult even after the so-called victim said: oops - it was sort of a lie - didn't happen. I watched as District Attorneys put people in prison for circumstantial, unconfirmed evidence, called it justice and destroyed their lives, their children and the world around them.

I watched in horror - at a weeping mother, clinging to the coffin of her newborn child, who died of neglect from a DHS appointed home, taking him from her without reason, justification or cause, lying to the courts, supported by the "system," to get away with it, profiting in the tens of thousands from Federal funds and "raises for everybody," and heard DHS blame the mother for it all. I watched the news reports of children being shot in cars, unarmed, because the cops have too much time and money.

I watched and I watched and I watched. .....

This is America? This is my home? This is where I am raising my son? What have we done? Who are we? No wonder some of these other countries hate us so bad. I never understood it - their hatred that is - until I watched.. US. And, then, I understood. Their countries commit horrible attrocities against their own people - so why should they judge us? Because - we go over there - proclaiming our all-mighty righteousness and good intent (Obama, the olympics scandal and the corruption being projected anyone?), and we vainly claim our free right to be the example for the rest of the world - and it's insulting. It's downright disgusting, when our Legislature is "famous," for their lies and deceit, yet they continue to run. Dictatorships come - and they fall. Eventually the people rebel. But, look at history. How many rebellions have happened here? Peaceful ones are met by violence in the street with armed SWAT teams, beating kids into bloody messes. No wonder we have kids beating on other kids! It's in the media - the news - and the authorities they're supposed to be modeling themselves after. But, we HIDE! We try to cover up the nastiness with "other" news.

Lies do not become us. We are a nation of people who live in fear. Very few dare speak the words I do, for they know they will soon find themselves where I've already been - thrown to the lions. They know that if they try to change the system by force, they'll be killed or thrown in jail. WHAT? Is that America? What about protesting? How much affect has that had? How much of an effect are the townhall meetings having? Maybe some? I said a while ago that I thought the Tea Parties were turning into a waste of time, but I hoped I was wrong, and one person said that I was.

Congress just appointed themselves a raise, against the peoples' will, Obama just went to support Olympics in America, against the peoples' will, General McChrystal is still without troops against the peoples' will - and the list goes on. So - was I wrong? Sadly, I don't know what the answer is. But, yes, I hope and pray, I am wrong. For how long can the fear continue? How many generations before they ask: why ARE you afraid? How long before our children can no longer abide by their parent's fears and stand up for themselves in what may be a terrible disaster of pain and suffering, all because we were too afraid now? I am going down soon. I was fighting, but now they have my child. They have threatened to harm him. I can no longer fight. I must be careful in all I say and do - and yet, I cannot stop. I cannot quit telling the truth. I cannot give up hope that making sure enough people being educated WILL SET US FREE.

I hope the same for you, my brothers and sisters.

Fanatical Leadership

"We must prepare ourselves against the enemy. They have developed nuclear power that can reach our shores. They are hate-mongers. They lead with fear. They attack and hurt innocent people. Their only drive is our destruction. If we don't stop them now, then we will have failed history's lessons and will be permitting their regime to destroy our way of life; to walk upon our shores; to invade our borders; and to kill our people. We must attack them first. We must destroy those heathens; those blasphemers; those terrorists. Their way of life is unacceptable. Their threats are unacceptable. We must act! We must not wait! We must kill them all, flatten their country and put an end to this before it's too late."

Now... just who do you suppose I'm talking about? Perhaps I'm speaking the words of the fanatical, Middle Eastern Dictators/terrorists who are trying to protect their way of life (right or wrong), against American invasion.

Perhaps - I'm not.

In fact, the above words (while a few taken out of place but still within their context), are the words that have been spoken by our media broadcasters on television and radio, the people interviewed on the streets and even our politicians.A fanatical person is one who is:

Possessed with or motivated by excessive, irrational zeal.

Does the overwhelming drive to march into Afghanistan or some other third world country and "kill them all," based on the premise that we have to 'get them,' "before they get us," not sound extreme? I don't know about you, but to me, the idea of needing to wipe out an entire nation out of the sheer fear that they're going to blow us all up sounds not only extreme, but highly irrational. You see, the countries in the world that are in possession of nuclear technology are in a stale-mate. The idea of self-obliteration just to try and stop your enemy doesn't sound overly appealing. As I listen to these disc jockeys (mostly), toss around their extreme sense of right and wrong, I am also reminded of a fact that Dennis Miller brought to his show: If we're going to fight, we can't rope-a-dope with these folks. And, I agree with him - quite frankly, I would like my side to win if we do get into war.

Yet, why are we attacking them? They're going to wipe us out? Without going into CNN-style details that provide the terrorists a "how-to," I can assure you, that if their intention was the mass destruction of humanity, they have options that are cheaper, far more effective and would go undetected until it was too late. Just know this - as a society that's dependent on single-source water supplies, that's technology dependent for the pushing of airflows through entire cities - there are easier ways to accomplish what is being claimed. Make no mistake, I am not disregarding the potential possibility that these folks may be out to harm us. And, I am well aware of their kamikaze style tendencies. However, I have to ask myself (the same as I did back when I covered the waterboarding issue):

Is it okay to become the enemy to destroy my enemy?

Is it okay to irrationally live in fear that a country is trying to develop nuclear weapons just to kill little, old me? You ask: but why else would they be developing them? Why else? Are you serious? Maybe to compete with the world powers and not be the underdog weakling anymore! Maybe to say: hey - when we tell you to stay out - we mean it. Why was America permitted to develop their nuclear weapons? Why was Russia? Why are foreign countries permitted to test "duds," on our soil, just to make sure their ICBM's are functioning range wise? Why are we permitted to test on their soil?

If the fear is real, of course, I don't want to be a contributor to allowing another "Hitler," or Stalin-like regime. And, yet, there was no "stomping," on Hitler until AFTER he attacked. That's one of the problems with our country - we don't abide by the Benjamin Franklin image of the Rattlesnake whereby we sit quietly minding our own business until (or unless) somebody comes by and steps on us. We act aggressively, without thought and sometimes in an empirical manner that seems to make the rest of humanity hate us. Look at the Roman Polanski situation - even the rest of the world - not just one country - but MULTIPLE countries, are telling America to back off. Sorry to say this, but we can't be right and the rest of the world wrong. There comes a time when we must step back, take a look at what we're becoming and ask ourselves: Do we want to become fanatical? Do we want to be looked at as a cruel, in-human dictatorship? Because, this is what we're doing. This is the problem with the laws. This is America, today.

Subterfuge

Subterfuge: noun
1: deception by artifice or stratagem in order to conceal, escape, or evade
2: a deceptive device or stratagem
synonyms: see DECEPTION

Look, I know that most likely, no one is reading this (except maybe the few authorities trying to make sure I'm not undermining the Country's security efforts... sheesh!) - and I know that one of the main reasons that my writings are not read is because I do not express the popular view or opinion. However, I didn't start this blog to repeat what the news is saying or reinforce any one person's particular theories. I started this to write about the truth when and where I see it.

A while ago, I covered a blog regarding the government's abuse of media to gain public support for wartime efforts. I stated that it was my belief that we are well on our way toward this path. And, now - we've all spent the last two weeks hearing nothing but "Muslim this," and "Taliban that," on our news media. Have these folks "magically," come out of the wood-works, or were they always there? The answer's simple: Guantanamo Bay did not fill up by magic. It filled up because of ongoing efforts to deal with people who would threaten our Nation's security. But, now, just prior to General McChrystal's request for more troops, we are being inundated with "Muslim," hatred (contrary to being inundated with just "Al-Queda" hatred - as the goal is to racially stereotype the entire nation and encourage American hatred toward the whole country, not just "terrorists," who could be anywhere), and the American people are buying it.

Fear. That is the tactic used to gain the support of the American people. Fear that we're going to be bombed or killed. I am not saying that there are not people who have not planned to shoot anyone or blow something up - else, it wouldn't be a day in the life of America. I am saying that the media has been pushed into this fear mongering enforcement to encourage the public's support for an all-out assault. It's not difficult to see - you just have to think outside of the box. In other words - do your homework. Read through my blogs, I do link to plenty of supportive bits of information to quantify and qualify my concern. This methodology of inspiring fear to gain public support is a subterfuge - a deceptive lie (aka strategy), to go against the "true," will of the people. And, when it happens - there is no turning back, for the government will have regained their hold, and no one will battle the corruption again for quite some time, and all that has been done during Obama's administration to attempt to regain control of the government by the people will be lost once more.

For you see, the main concern is not the racially-driven, stereotypical hatred being spewed out against an entire nation - that's what America has been reduced to through its 250 past years of de-evolution; rather, it's the fact that we are going into a war for reasons yet unknown. Perhaps there is really a threat over there - and if so - we should be told. Perhaps, this is another effort to boost the economy (funny that Alaska Airlines just won a $320 million dollar government contract, isn't it?). Whatever it is - it means that my predictions and analysis of re-occurring events in our Nation's history is correct. And, if so - it means that there are still one or two more predictions I've offered that are also correct. And, if we're headed in that direction, may God watch over us all.

Good luck my friends, and may God Bless you and yours.

Waterboarding

Waterboarding.. torture.. hmm...

Sure, it's wrong. Sure, it's justified. Sure it's... um, what?

Are we justified in resorting to the guerilla-style tactics of warfare to stop.. guerilla-style tactics of warfare? Are we better than our enemy if we act like our enemy?

Are we justified in defending ourselves when we commit the very acts which prompt our enemies to destroy us?

Yes - there is a rhyme and reason for terrorism. You may not agree. You may not like it. I don't. But, there is a purpose. They DO have an agenda, contrary to popular belief. Terrorists seek to harm others - creating 'terror' - because they have an agenda which justifies their actions. Whether it's religious, political or just hateful - it exists. Perhaps the Jihad are really out there to get us solely for religious reasons. In fact, if you read the article: Why do Muslims Hate us?, you can see some reasons (right or wrong), why extremists would want to destroy America. Does that give them a right? Most certainly not. They have NO more right to destroy us, than we do them! However, our current political atmosphere regarding "waterboarding," is 'get them before they get us!'

Whoa. WHOA! Hold up - this is the SAME premise that I've been arguing against the extreme power granted to law enforcement in America - which is "get them before they get us!" That is why there are over 1 MILLION innocent people in prison. That is why there are innocent people in THIS country - the country of 'freedom,' and 'democracy,' being tried, WHILE you read this, for crimes they did not commit. Predictive punishments. And, man - fear can cause us to do a lot of things. But, here's the catch - if you listen to talk show hosts like Dennis Miller, without having been a victim of 'waterboarding,' himself, he LOUDLY proclaims it as so menial that it doesn't qualify as torture. He claims to the people that we MUST protect ourselves and HATE those people who strap bombs to themselves to die.

Maybe he's right..... Maybe. I'm not in possession of any 'great' or superior knowledge that would prove to me he's right - OR - wrong. What I am in possession of though, are my mental faculties. Maybe, we should waterboard American citizens who 'look' scary because they're more likely to hurt someone if we don't confirm first, that they don't? Sound too extreme for an example? Well - how about this:

You torture someone to confirm that they are not going to plan an attack (whether you have "intel" supporting it or not). You expect an answer, correct? If they continue to say, "no," you continue to torture them. If they continue to say, "no," you continue to destroy their very soul. If they continue to say, "no," you bash and hurt and deprive and manipulate and control and deceive and damage until you get the TRUTH!

But, what is the truth? Is it, "no?" Because, if it is - you just falsely tortured an innocent person, destroying them in ways that no human being who has not suffered through massive pains, political pressures or torture could even possibly comprehend. What if they say, "yes," but the answer is really, "no?" Now - you've MANIFESTED an answer that doesn't exist. Maybe, you'd do well to read this article on torture: Star Trek Torture Episode. Maybe, just maybe, you might ask yourself - how far is too far. How much is too much? When is enough, enough? When are WE the enemy? Let's pretend for a moment, that the Jihad hate us because they believe - that if they don't stop us now, our soldiers, in THEIR country (notice that predicament?), are going to take over and destroy their way of life and harm them. Instead, we fight, we take prisoners and we torture them. Maybe the Jihad were wrong. Maybe they had no justified reason to hate us, and over time, they would learn that and we could all find peace. Or, just maybe, we have finally given them a REAL reason to hate us. Maybe we have just "justified" their fears. Just maybe... but are you willing to take that chance? Are you willing to make them so afraid and desperate that they will act irrationally? I'm not. I have a son. I do NOT want extremists to be pushed to the corners of fear that their only resolution is to come out swinging. Maybe they would still blow us up, someday. But, that's why we 'justify,' so much security in American borders, isn't it? Hmm...

Here's the problem - what if they ARE planning an attack and we COULD stop it? This is where shows like "24" have been carefully designed to convince the American populous that believe what comes through their idiot box to be assured of the fears the government wants to instill. We are shown that if we do not act predictively, we will suffer - our children will suffer. Really? Maybe so. Maybe if we don't torture every would be terrorist, extremist and person who's different from us, we are doomed! Of course, I'm not so sure that's the type of mentality that conforms to 'freedom.' Am I free if I live in fear? Am I free if I spend my time, my tax dollars and my life hunting ghosts? I thought "Homeland security," meant just that - homeland security. I thought that there were FBI in our air ports, police with excessive abuse authority, CIA and others who can freely monitor us because they were protecting us on the home front? In fact - weren't those folks there when 9-11 happened? Weren't those folks there when the Oklahoma bombing happened? Sure they were. Were they doing their jobs? YES!! Of course, the argument is that they didn't have the "freedom," they needed to do their jobs 'effectively.'

The freedom... to do their jobs... effectively?

You mean, the freedom to monitor ALL our communications. To watch us, look over us, control us, keep us locked down under the pretense of what appears to be... freedom. Oh sure - you radicals out there say things like, "Why don't you move to Iraq if you hate it here so bad - be thankful for what you have." But, YOU'RE the sheep. YOU'RE the one that voted for a President with a 3 trillion dollar budget - the majority of which goes to... MORE security. YOU'RE the one that has NEVER suffered, NEVER lost, NEVER been at the receiving end of the nightmare that is the so-called, "homeland" security. You can't see it. You can't know it. You can't even understand it - until it happens to you. Thes past two years I've met SO MANY people who are dumbfounded by the reality of what's taken place in my life. They can NOT believe that the legal system works the way it does. They can NOT believe the corruption. In fact - many of them have bore witness to it, through me, DIRECTLY - and yet, even with it in front of their OWN EYES - they can NOT understand HOW or WHY all of this is happening here in America!!

Move to Iraq? What a dumb response. I love America. I LOVE the principals upon which it was founded. My forefathers did NOT torture the English to see when and where they were attacking. My forefathers felt that it was time for a new, civilized society that protected itself the best it could, armed the common man even (not that I necessarily agree with that - and no - I don't own a gun myself), and believed in the ability of all peoples to seek freedom here. Were there extremists in their time? YES!! The Native Americans being raped of their land would raid forts and villages murdering and raping women and children! (No - that's not a blanket statement on ALL indians - only a commentary on the FEW who did it - just like the Jihad are not all against us - only the FEW who act upon it). There were soldiers and troops - people of THIS country who felt they had the right to do what they wanted in harm of others (ie. slavery), who raided and attacked innocents. This is NOT new. What IS new, is the 'civilized' America, resorting to uncivilized and monstrous actions in the name of FEAR. What's new are people so desensitized the brutal TORTURE of another human being, that they can somehow justify it.

Right or wrong, good or bad - I don't know. I'm not the final say on these matters. YOU are. YOU must think for yourself. But, if the torture of the Jihad, who hate us for infringing on their way of life (amongst other reasons), and feel they must get us before we get them, is justified under the premise that we must get them before they get us - what was so wrong about the torture of Jesus the Christ? Wasn't it the Jewish community that felt He was destroying their way of life? Weren't their actions of repeated ABUSE and torture predicated on the pretense that He must be stopped BEFORE He can derail their entire society? Weren't they trying to stop Him before He stopped them? What about Hitler? His generals (notice the distinction in WHOM at this point), tortured Jews because they felt the Jews were going to continue to derail and destroy their very society. Maybe, they were right. Maybe, if the Jewish community had continued unchecked, the Germany we know today would not be German, but Jewish, and the German lineage would be dead. So, a few extremists tortured the Jews to find out if they were planning an attack. Are you planning something? No. Are you going to raid our bases? No. Are you trying to undermine us? No. When is it okay? When must it stop? Are we NAZI Germany? Are we Crucifiers of the Lord? Are these fair comparisons, or are these too extreme for you? Do you justify torture under the pretense that you are caring for others? If so, why would you argue against the common person's right to bear arms, concealed and free. If it's their freedom and protection you're concerned about - in a proactive manner - why not permit everyone to keep guns? Then, they don't have to "wait" for the retroactive response by the police? In fact - you should support wire-tapping of everyone, cameras in everyone's homes, bathrooms, businesses, etc. That way - we can take the "extreme" act of torturing to the next level, and simply remove the "freedom," and privacy that was so "foolishly," Constitutionally invoked and simply protect everyone?

Or - are you acting upon a pretense told to you by the media and your government? Are you assuming because you've been lead to believe something? You see, I don't love America as it is now - I love America for what it SHOULD be. I LOVE this country for what it CAN be. But, a country is not a government. It is a people. And, it MUST be by the people that higher standards of living are demanded and supported. What do you believe America should be? Guerilla war tactics, torture and lies? Maybe if you believe that - YOU should move to Iraq - and live amongst those who believe that to be the foundation of their society - because it's NOT the foundation of THIS one!!

Is war really coming? Is Afganistan the answer?

A short while ago I posted my discussion on what I felt were key points in the last 100 years of American History that have brought us to today. I did that because I felt it was important for you folks to be able to see the truth - at least from my perspective - and when mixed with all the other malarkey out there, formulate your own opinions and draw your own conclusions. Of the points I made about World War I, following the sinking of the Lusitania (conspiracy theories aside), was the point where the American people, outraged, cried out for War! They didn't care if it crashed the economy. They specifically said - we don't care if we go bankrupt, if we lose our homes, if we suffer- they wanted revenge.

The other evening I heard it from Phil Hendrie (partially paraphrased as I couldn't get it all... sorry)- "Why should Obama have to explain his maneuvers in Afghanistan? I think he does it because he's surrounded himself by liberal cowards and people in Congress whispering in his ears. I'm glad we're there. Let's get those mothers. Let's smoke their rat-asses out. I don't care if it bankrupts us even. I don't care if we can't afford it. So, fine, I can't put a new room on my house or get a loan. As long as we stop those child-killing terrorists."

And, I heard it on Dennis Miller (also paraphrased in part), "So what if we kill them. You know what I think? Anyone willing to slap a bomb around a child's waist and send them out to die should be killed, all of them!"

And, I cried.

I try telling you that history repeats itself. It's one thing for 'conditions' to be similar. It's another thing for them to be EXACT. When the people cry out - kill them - kill them all - go to war - we don't care if it bankrupts us -

It's a repeat of what has been. Do I think that it's okay that terrorists kill people? Duhh--- obviously not. I'm against ANY government that hurts its own people - starting with OUR OWN. But, the stage is set. The trends are the same - failing economy, people unemployed, an opportunity for war and to rebuild the country, people driven to support the government going hogwild with taxes and money by seeing their own die - but - there's still one more element missing....

An attack on American soil. And, I'm not talking the 9/11 garbage. I'm talking a real one. Sure, losing family members, friends, loved ones - sucks. But, when the circumstances are conspiratal at best, I want justice from the one who actually did it - NOT - who was accused. And, what is happening? The American "experts" on terrorists (how in the hell does that work?) "speculate", from the comfort of their American offices in Washington D.C., that the Taliban and Al Qaeda are gathering in Afghanistan and preparing for an attack on American soil.

They speculate...... they're guessing. You see, the trouble I had with America going over seas to get the terrorists who committed the 9/11 atrocities is this: Those terrorists are DEAD. They were ON the plane. They died. Sure, maybe there are people over seas in the same types of militias that encouraged them - but they didn't force them. These people went of their own government-driven/media-driven/secular-driven agendas. They came here to 'weed out' and 'kill the infidels.'

Well, what are we doing? We are being told by the government, the media and in many cases even our religions, that these people are bad. We are told this from birth. We are told we have to go over there to 'weed out' and 'kill the infidels.'

So - where is the line drawn? What's the distinction? We are doing NOTHING different than them. Your arguments? Don't worry - I know what they are in advance because they're repetitious, old and still as worthless now as they were long ago, so let me address them:

They started it. Yeah, and two wrongs make a right, vengeance is better, kill 'em with guns not love, and who cares who gets hurt and stepped on in the middle, right? So what if we force governmental seizure and control of the innocent's homes and houses, institute curfews, put them under martial law, tick off the bad guys and encourage them to kill MORE of their own people, and in the meantime, slaughter a few innocent children ourselves - we're being 'saved,' right? Well, if you're still arguing this one - you win, because quite frankly, there is no way to counter an immature argument made by monkeys, by trying to use logic and reasoning.

They kill their own children! Yeah, and America doesn't? Every year thousands - THOUSANDS - of homeless children starve to death (a VERY painful way to die for those who don't know) because the rich get richer and the poor, poorer. We cut back education and put pressure on our children that has them shooting each other. We blast them with sex in media and intolerance in politics. We're SCREWING their financial futures and condemning them. DHS is kidnapping MILLIONS of innocent children every year and is responsible for the rape, murder and abuse of tens of thousands of them every year. Sure - we are SO justified in this. You have no argument.

They may come back! Yep - you're right. They may. They may send over terrorists who will get through the federally locked down airports and hijack another plane. They may kidnap people overseas and kill them. They may kill around 100 people by the end of the year. On the other hand, going to war means they WILL kill THOUSANDS of U.S. troops... children (for those of you who don't realize the majority of soldiers on the front line are still under 20 years of age - and to me, that's still someone's baby). They WILL fire missiles and bombs in their own streets in increased numbers. So, on this one, you win. Let's do it YOUR way and increase the death toll - much better.

Their people deserve better! YES! You are RIGHT! They deserve schools and education and secular freedoms and clean air and good paying jobs and a strong, people-driven Democracy. Let's have America fix it! Why? Because we're the SHINING example of these things. We have GREAT education... um... oops, sorry - scratch that - no we don't... and the first thing to be cut in this economy crisis wasn't politics or authorities that are sucking up the budget.. it was our children's school. But, we have secular freedom! Wait, oops, my bad - we kicked in the doors of a church and took their children because we didn't approve of what we 'believed' (although we were acting impetuously and hurt innocent lives because we were wrong) they were doing, and of course, secular freedom in schools and the workplace are now gone, and of course, the words 'In God We Trust,' have been removed (and are continuing to be) from most Government buildings. But hey - we have clean air! Um, sorry- my bad. Shouldn't have listed that one. We are paying excessively for 'trying' to have clean air and to fix what we have already done. We have jobs? Um, no... gosh... that's been a HUGE problem with outsourcing and what not. A people driven Democracy? Yeah - that explains the multitudes of bills passing that no longer represent the people (or require our votes or input) and AIG getting my tax money to fund THEIR rich people.

So - am I just being defeatist or what?? I'm just trying to make it hard on you, aren't I? There's GOT to be a solution! YES - there is one. Do I know it? No - I'm not the leader of this Country, so even if I had one - it isn't my place to say (although I would encourage those of you who may ever read this to offer up ideas!!). But, I do know one thing for sure. Marching in head first with guns shooting, bullets firing and asking questions later - is NOT the best policy. You see, sometimes, we get SO preoccupied with our OWN agendas, our OWN fears and our OWN frustrations, that we project those onto others. We are so busy trying to figure out an immediate solution, doing what we believed at the time we "could," that we NEVER stopped long enough to consider whether or not we "should."

Let's not be impetuous for once, okay? Let's not March on the road whose end we cannot see, blind-folded and unsure of what's on the other side of the hill. Because, for all we know, it could be a cliff and we could be lemmings (conspiracy aside again.. sheesh!) marching to our death. Let's NOT let our political leaders guide us in this path either. Quite frankly, people who have already cheated and stolen to get where they are and have little conscience in hurting others, aren't the best people to follow. And, people - STOP - following the media. PLEASE! If you want to do that, just end it now and save yourselves the painful, long, drawn out trip to self-destruction.

Let's use our hearts AND our brains. We don't want to die. We don't want people we know and love to die. And, as a last, little diddy - if somebody says: I HATE you and I'm going to kill you, do we run out, buy a gun and go hunt them down and kill them first? Well, unless we're just un-evolved monkey people who need to be shot anyway, the answer is: no. Sure, we may buy a gun. We may secure our own homes and boundaries. But, there's something else that we do (or at least, we're SUPPOSED to be doing) - we find out WHAT the problem is. We don't KILL the problem, we SOLVE it. (btw - killing it makes it worse - solving it makes it go away). We get input from others like the media who tell us it's all about religion, and we take it in and consider it - in part. We get input from those who are angry and usually don't act rationally. Then, we step back and go - hey - wait a sec - these people are hurt. They are scared. And, their fear and pain has driven them to anger. Because, there's a WHOLE nation over there that believes in the Quran, and THEY don't ALL believe in killing - not just Americans - but ANYONE. That tells me, something is wrong. So, let's start by asking the first question, shall we? Do realize, this means you will have to get off your high horse. You will have to want to be a nation that leads the world by GOOD examples starting at home. You will have to humble yourself and show tolerance, respect and love. And, the first question is:

Why are they angry at me and... What is it I HAVE done that needs to change?

Now, go get yourself a twix and chew on it for a while :)

Key turning points in recent US History - where we are now

9-11-2001 - an attack on American soil - no greater and no worse than any other 'minor' incidences that had been occurring over the years, trying to justify little 'wars' and 'scuffs' we were involved in - but shown by the media in such large proportions that the whole of America became enraged, has begun our next, major shift.

The period between 1985 and 2000 was fairly uneventful. Usually, for major turning points in 'recent' history, I would look toward longer periods of time, or make things inclusive. But, in this case, the Patriot Act, abused by the government on American soil, allowing them to create laws and commit acts in direct violation of the Constitution, acting as terrorists against our own people - is of tremendous significance.... because it hasn't stopped.

The lessons learned by the government: bring the attack to American soil, use media propoganda to scare the people into letting you do what you want, pass bills without their permission or knowledge of what it says in there, get away with what you want, get richer and more powerful, allow capitalists to encourage economy growth by supporting military/government actions.... had ALL been implemented in one, fell swoop. Soon, this dramatic violation of Constitutional rights (not the first or largest mind you - but dramatic indeed), would cascade throughout all of America, eventually giving rise to special interest groups attack the pledge of allegiance (another conspiracy I will digress upon for now), interfering in the separation of church and state, interfering in our daily lives and freedoms, and allowing the heads of our governmental body to proceed unquestioned and unchecked, were a devastating blow to this country. Now, no one specific person or party is to blame. By this time, so much apathy, desensitization, separation of financial classes, continued segregation of races through darwinistic principals and increased fascism (control of the people through governmental force, where they don't get to do anything to stop it), were all so rampant, that the passing of this act, and its abuse, were inevitable. I've already said enough in earlier articles on this site to justify my reasons to even use the word, 'fascism,' that I won't get into it here. But, know this - fascism, capitalism, socialism and democracy were all being combined into a form of government known as marxist socialism. This is the same government which originally ruled over NAZI Germany, the USSR (not soviet union - as "true" communism, without the injection of marxist socialism, is NOT what you are usually told by the media to think it is), and which had to start somewhere.

Today, we have a government trying to displace blame for the economic condition on past governments, still keeping that state of deception and uncertainty, constant amongst the people. But, what can we learn from these past few KEY turning points:

  • that when the economy is low,
  • the international standards of trade are in fluz,
  • people are becoming destitute and desparate,
  • the economy NEEDS turned around?

We can learn this:

  • That the government will take control of the media.... and folks.. its already here.. but is becoming more and more prevalant.
  • That the government will crack down on their control of the people... and that too, through the "justice" system, is already here.
  • That innocent people MUST die... and it's coming... so be worried.. very worried... (especially as our troops are being "positioned" for Afghanistan.. although.. technically... what's there for us to go 'after' to "protect" AMERICAN soil?), hmmm....
  • That people must become financially destitute and desperate enough to look to the government for answers, accepting anything they do... but people, aren't we accepting their so-called, "stimulus" packages because we ARE desperate, hoping ONE of them will be for us? Isn't unemployment going up?

And then.. war. War that spurs on economic growth, that encourages greater exportation of goods, and that involves all of us.

Take from this what you want. I'm just looking at the recent, last 100-year trend in our history for MAJOR turning points, and when I see things like the "demand" that we move to "digital" television so that radio-antennae, air-wave broadcasts are silenced (much like the government did with radio AND television prior to the past 2, world wars), I can't help but get that nervous feeling... that history is bound to repeat itself.

Key turning points in recent US History - part 3

The third, most controversial and key turning point in our history is another 20 year period or so, leading us to just before today. From 1965 until about 1985 - the changes that would take place were devastating to this country and its people...

The death of our President, John F. Kennedy, had so dramatically affected Americans, that the nation's desperation would quickly turn to apathy. Unlike before, when the people were outraged, the Government did not act. Instead, conspiracies were thrown around, people were shooting each other, segregation was still a foul taste in everyone's mouth, the hopes and dreams of the space program were keeping everyone on edge, and the threat of the big, "communist regime", kept men, women and children awake at night. We never saw Russia attack. We were never at their mercy. We had been bringing them supplies in WWII. But, the history books, much like the media, had already begun to be altered. The government had become a giant wheel spinning out of control. Lyndon B Johnson refused to make any major policy changes during his time because of the sensitive position the country was in. He could have declared war on Canada at that point and we would have blindly followed. But, thanks to the 'boost' in the economy, government support of "arts" programs, bailouts of large companies and an ever-growing increase in the national debt and respectively, taxation, unemployment was beginning to grow.

People were scared. There were a few minor skiffs... as we had a Korean War, Manuel Noriega (sorry if the spelling's off), and eventually the Vietnam "Police action", but these were not the economy boosters the US wanted. You see, as we had not bore the brunt of the world wars, their truly devastating effects had not been felt at home. Japan had not sought to suck America - a nation four hundred times its size, and its open-bordered neighbor, into the war. We brought ourselves in. And, in doing so, the capitalists and government had developed a plan to get richer and more powerful. But, here's the catch - that takes us right back to the old days of the English Monarchy, when there was a HUGE separation of classes, and the poor and the hated fled to America. We were moving back in that direction, and the blind control the Government once had, went by the wayside. The protesters in college tried to raise their voices, because their fathers, the ones who had fought in WWII, told them to be patriotic, told them to believe in their government and country and warned them about the REAL horros of war. Unfortunately, the US, hoping to involve themselves in a war in Vietnam with the support of their allies, failed to understand that our allies didn't want another war - and not only was Vietnam NOT a war, but it was not a world-issue that required "big brother's" involvement.

Without that backing, we had to institute a draft program - again. And, the youth, who had been taught wealth was good, getting to be free and do what they wanted (the "appeasing of Americans that capitalists and government put into place to do what they wanted just after WWII), didn't understand why this was happening. The were rebels all right - but rebels without a cause or a clue. And, the media fed on it. The media showed the terrible images of war, for the first time, fueled by the government to do so (you don't think, over in Vietnam, the government couldn't control the images being broadcast or what was said? C'mon - don't be THAT naive), in an attempt to gain the American support to enter the war, learned the valuable lesson ALL over again, that people weren't interested in attacks that DIDN'T involve American soil - anymore than our allies were interested into jumping headfirst into a war that DIDN'T involve them!! The so-called '60's children' of peace and the attempts by the government to gain support through fear, inevitably failed, leading to an unparalleled state of apathy, world-wide. Other nations were not unsympathetic to the needs of Vietnam, South America or Korea; nor were they blind to the importance of keeping dictators under some element of control. But, they were also trying to build their economies back up, having relied on the U.S. for fat, too long, realizing that they had given us way too much leeway, and were not about to put themselves back in a hole while we prospered.

And, unfortunately, with good economic times, comes increases in family sizes. And, our population grew... and it grew... and it grew. Suddenly, we had more crime, more poverty and other issues such as educational declines. Capitalists had abandoned their goal of supporting the growth of the people, and were interested in only one thing, themselves. During the 'high-times' of prosperity during and after WWII, education was a secondary issue to be given lesser value. At least, for the common man. Unskilled workers, without unions, were trying to position themselves as valuable employees in trades where labor unions were not going to exist, such as restaurants or grocery. While "distribution of wealth" as its dubbed and so freely [and incorrectly] forced upon the current, Presidential regime, existed following the first Civil War when injured soldiers begun to receive pensions of a sort, following WWII, the specialization of industry, the lockdown of labor unions to the educated/trained, for a vast majority of the economy, left a lot of people without work. While desegregation was an important and crucial step to American History, a lot of colored folks entered into the military, being unskilled labor capable of working in any other fields. Those who couldn't enter into the military, fell under the umbrella of the Democratic-socialism model, and a 'redistribution of wealth,' through the Department of Human Services, took hold in this country.

This was a major setback in our history and a major reason for our continuing, economic decline. Not race - not color - but rather than invest money into education and reformation of lives into a working class, the governmental body chose to 'appease' the people, still hoping for their support in Vietnam, and instead, created an ever-growing number of apathetic citizens. The police force had already grown. The capitalists were already specializing their industries and taking hold. Opportunity for new enterprise was dwindling. The "American dream", that our forefathers had with ownership of land the ability of the individual to survive was lost. This period in American history really began the segregation of classes. What was labeled a Democracy, looked more like a monarchy, just with the occassional vote or two thrown out there to let the people feel in control.

The electoral college controlled the Presidency - and the two legislative parties controlled the candidates. New laws, limiting candidates to the special-interest groups of lawyers and well-to-do were put into place under the pretense that we should have "educated" candidates - forgetting the fact that President JFK was also a womanizer... so much for 'education.' Then came the 80's. Sure, the 60's and 70's had their own problems, but as parents of children in the 80's, they didn't remember the war. They weren't as 'patriotic,' and the injection of government into our daily lives was already so widely accepted that people quit caring. If rallies were held, guards had been there to 'control' people. If riots had been held, the government was sure to mace and beat people back. For those of you who haven't watched this on video - watch it - then watch the police force in Iran or Iraq versus its people.. or the student in Tienneman Square (spelling?) who stood against the Chinese Army - and see IF you can see a difference. The children of the 80's were still taught to trust their government and their leaders, but holywood and televesion had already been systematically desensitizing us all. The government DIDN'T want attention. News stories faded into the background. Private enterprise was locked down, educational books changed to fit an approved 'format' of the truth and attempts at the 'little' people reaching the stars were easily and quickly thwarted. Example? How about being a student in school and watching as the first "teacher," a non-astronaut, was to go to space, and on the way up - her shuttle exploded.

No other time had this occurred. Sure, rockets failed, the technology the capitalists and government were building was falling apart because greed had exceeded the desire for quality or doing something good, but this was profound to all of America? Why? There were teachers from the 60's who didn't "buy" into government or hollywood induced propoganda. They were willing to stand up and continue to teach their students that death-rock-metal, or rap was not the way to go and to not trust the man who was trying to "weed" out the lesser class (in their opinion) through these media. But, when the teachers watched as one of their own, died in a way that should not have happened.... when technology and the space program that had brought 'hope' came to a stand-still, a lot of their 'spirit' was dashed. Of course, all these things I point out are isolated incidents... important... but isolated. The truth is, this type of action was taking place around the country.

And, was the media controlled? I'm sure you heard about the U.S. cities - entire cities - that disappeared, right? Did you read about the Roanoke colony in your text book and understand its meaning? What about the occassional F-16 that was doing routine flights and "accidentally," fired a fully-armed missile into a city, killing thousands? (mind you - the process involves entering a security code, arming the missile - because they CAN be fired unarmed so as to NOT explode - then lifting the 'release' on the fire button and THEN firing!!). Of course, you remember the exxon-valdez incident, right? Maybe you wouldn't know until almost 20 years later that it wasn't what we were told, and that it was supposedly an engineering mistake that left a captain and crew, desperately trying to stop the collission, helpless. Perhaps you've heard all about the pirates who were hijacking oil tankers and holding them for hostage? No? Probably because we don't remember a whole lot of news in the 80's... and because a lot of this wasn't there. That's where people like Geraldo Rivera came from - emerging from the media silence with a loud voice, spouting off controversies, to get the people's attention.

Mind you, Reaganomics and a growth spurt in education really helped a lot of the economic conditions of this country. Unfortunately, in order for that to work, it required continued support of the Capitalists, continued socialist (wealth distribution) policies, and even he believed in (or perhaps didn't understand the full ramifications of supporting) a continued growth in governmental power, income, authority and injection into the lives of the people.

Why is this a turning point? After all I've explained - for only these few reasons:

1. Apathy replaced nationalism.
2. The lack of continued growth in wealth caused that good, old, American "Pride," to give way to selfishness.
3. Welfare changes had begun the road to a social decline.
4. Government monitored media lead the way to densensitization.
5. An apathetic people gave rise to a growing police force, more uncontrolled bill passing by Legislature, and departments such as DHS/CPS were formed to be injected into American lives by those who had been 'hurt' but never saved, unaware that the legacy they were starting would become part of a fascist regime.
6. The government was NOT about to let go of its hold on the people... its power was growing too large... in direct relationship to the greed... capitalism was competing with it, continuing to mandate the legislative laws, and socialism continued to rear its ugly head, all the while, a somewhat close representation to what Democracy really was, continued to be offered to the people...

and, this is the last, key turning point that has 'occurred; - as we are in the next, major one now.

Key turning points in recent US History - part 2

The next major turning point: The March to Capitalism; (1937 - 1955)

Prior to WWII, a lot of folks who had been working on military surplus items were laid off, and soon, an economic depression fell upon the US. President Roosevelt worked hard to overcome many of the hurdles of this depression and mitigated a few, but not enough of them. We were hurting in a bad way. One of Roosevelt's solutions was to encourage capitalism... the beginning of what has brought us to our knees today. It was also the beginning of a Fascist/Marxist Social regime. Roosevelt's "New Deal" allowed the government to grow larger, turning to private enterprise in order to create jobs. We were well prepared for another war, but allowed growth in a variety of areas that gave rise to American complacency with the government being injected into multiple facets of their personal lives - since the people were hungry - they needed jobs and accepted these terms. And, as I've written in previous posts, Capitalism and Democracy make strange bedfellows. The Reuther Plan, through an interest in selfish, capital gains, encouraged a fear amongst the people, and through unions, to seek government contracts - all the while - driving up taxes in the background. Through the Lend-Lease act, America helped Russia and England fight the ongoing war with $32.5 billion in exports. A boone to the economy without us being involved. Just as the government had learned, they could drive up taxes without the people. Capitalism was leading legislation, and thusly, taxation. What appeared to be our 'salvation,' was being lead by corrupt people with intensly, selfish, personal agendas; and that's NOT a good foundation for salvation...
But,  it wasn't enough for private capitalists and military leaders wanting more. Pearl Harbor met its fate in 1941 (a conspiracy I won't address here in any further detail). Now, Roosevelt's declaration of what we 'needed' a year earlier, would come to pass. Our economy would be 'transformed' into the "Arsenal of Democracy." So, now, using the fear of the people, even though we had been building a huge arsenal, that arsenal had been sent to slaughter, and the Government, the instigators of that attack, knew how the people would react. They would want us to be more prepared. They would want us to retaliate. And Capitalism and Democracy, sitting in their big, bureaucratic chairs, were rolling in the dough. And, for what? The cost of a few hundred.. even a few thousand American lives? Of course, the government's spending did NOT go to the general public as Roosevelt had intended - he was not the arbitrator of this downfall in our history. His administration was taken advantage of, and military spending budgets, government budgets and the private capitalists they were in bed with went primarily uncontrolled. Taxation even began to be taken out of the American worker's paycheck - no longer as a lump sum. Not only were the good contracts NOT going to the people - but now they were going to make less money, without their vote, without their consent, but also - without their willingness to retaliate due to the fear that had occurred with the attack on American soil. See - American vessels had been attacked already, as it had been in WWI - but that wasn't enough. People blamed WWI for the great depression (mistakingly, as I've pointed out), and had a bad taste in their mouths. So, the government had to 'step up' the whole matter and have an 'attack' on American soil.

Prosperity was at hand. The benefit from murdering people was MORE money in the pocket. Thanks to labor unions, capitalist control in legislature and a larger, world-wide economic base, our economy grew. Everyone was being offered jobs, even those of non-white heritage during a time in which segregation was still an issue. The people graciously accepted governmental control - it was their savior. This is a VERY dark period in our history. What's that you say? How can I see an economic boost as a downpoint? Simple - greed. Greed causes blindness. We turned a blind eye to the fact we had been developing the atomic bomb, or missles with nuclear capacity. We turned a blind eye to the development of stealth bombers with the capcity to carry large, nuclear payloads. The government was building weapons of mass death, and our wallets were growing. We had gone from broke to rich overnight!! Had the depression NOT been there - this wouldn't have happened. While I won't theorize that the ENTIRETY of the depression and WWII was a scheme intended on having this effect, I will say this: the government had learned well from WWI - and in this turning point in American history, had injected into society a blinding GREED. The same greed that gave way to investors BLINDLY giving to Bernie Madoff (ie.. should we blame madoff, or should we allow those who blindly gave to him, so desperate to get rich quick, that they never checked on their own funds?).

But, this was not all. The control of the radio airwaves, newspapers, and even hollywood was rampant. Government had learned their lesson well - propoganda, propoganda, propoganda. And, the new technologies coming out were 'exciting' to people. While they were developing stealth bombers in 1945 and installing partical accelerators using technology eons in advance of what the people had seen in their homes, the idea of a 'radio wave' and now, a 'television,' had sparked everyone's minds! By 1960 - the U.S. GPS satellite system would be in place. By 1950 - televisions would be considered a 'standard' in households. Media was injected at all levels of life, using hollywood and movie theaters to define the 'wealth' status of individuals by what they owned: bigger and better cars, bigger and better gadgets, and men who 'loved' their women, made sure to have all these things. Meanwhile, work on inventions such as the 'electric car', had been quietly subdued by the controlling Capitalists (which, by the mid to end of the war included many members of Legislature), to ensure their investments in oil and other such markets would go unchallenged. We were SO blinded by victory (which truly, was NOT ours to celebrate), greed and what appeared to be a promise of a great tomorrow, that we just ignored everything going on in the background.

Nobody noticed that America, determined to be the center of the world's economy, had set up the new, international center of peace, in Japan, right where we had dropped an atomic bomb. Nobody noticed that we had spent hundreds and hundreds of millions (equivalent to almost a trillion today), to turn our so-called, 'communist adversaries,' into the center of the world's peace meetings. Nobody noticed that the history books incorrectly recorded multiple concentration camps with gas chambers, or falsely recorded the number of camps raided by American troops. Hollywood, feeding on the greed, the unions, the wealth (and, noteably - being fed larger sums of money than ANYONE else... also going unnoticed by the people), and whatnot, began to prepare themselves to be interjected into daily television where they would continue to burn the WWII torch LONG after it ended. The stories of soldiers who died in the war would go hidden for many years (until even more recently, when we could look upon it with the apathy we have today), and in the wake of segregation's end, the government, wanting to profit from that, too, would develop a national holiday for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (a scholarly gentleman and amazing individual who I admire greatly), while all the time slowly pulling back his message of "equality," and developing a 'new' type of segregation, pitting colors and races against one another.

What was the result of this turning point:

1. No longer would gvt. need to rely on the people for support, since capitalism cleared the road ahead. Laws could be passed FOR the "people", all the while containing special interest inclusions, never informing the people of the consequences.
2. Military could develop whatever they wanted - their budgets were unrestricted and they could create weapons of death... and as we shared that technology - the need to create MORE of them to maintain a 'balance of power', would necessitate a greater lack of restrictions on the military/government spending.
3. Bailouts of corporate companies, such as American Motors, proved the FDIC's control of the banks, the economy, and peoples' lives. What appeared to be good for the people in the way of unions and private capital had been usurped by privatized, government agencies, and people were not prospering as well as they thought... the capitalists... the banks... (in bed with gvt), had to step in and take control - they were now the 'heroes'
4. People like hugh hefner found that morality in the country had reached an all-time low, the irrational actions of the 'troops' and their 'women' helped encourage an industry that would soon expand into dangerous territory. Mind you - there were other magazines before - but as the government went from full control of the media to partial control after the war, many restrictions had been lifted, and the FCC had not taken full control yet - not with capitalists still in control. (this is further exemplified by the birth rate increase in new york due to the 1965 blackout...)
5. Controlling the media when people were scared may have been easy before, but controlling it when you're filling their pockets was easier still! Subliminal advertising quickly took the place of propoganda (Which was, in and of itself, a blatant abuse of 'subliminal' advertising'), and both the government and media quickly understood their power. Even the 'FCC', wouldn't be exposed as an agency that had been accepting private monies to look the other way until the last several years.

Generally, so much happened during this period of time in the way of revolution and change, that it's hard to narrow it all down. However, what is clear is that:

War no longer meant something. We didn't fight for "our" freedom, or to support "our" allies, we fought when it benefitted us.....

People were not eager to go out and kill, but like sheep, could be easily led to the other side of the hill if the grass is "greener"....

Government could openly commit acts in contrast to the people, but now learned that it was just easier to keep the people blind and do what it wanted in the background, such as hiding their budgets through 'creative' finance.

A larger, domestic police force was needed to help the people feel 'safe,' - or supposedly so since the government had been instrumental in helping them 'not feel safe'.

The political administration, the office of the President, was not a position subservient to the people - and neither was Congress. Their power and their control had become absolute. The country's gold had been consolidated, its communications put under an umbrella of watchfulness, and as long as the people were kept 'appeased,' the gvt could pretty much do what they wanted...

But folks, capitalism is not a governmental agency that is destined to survive....

Key turning points in recent US History - part 1

I've been doing some long-term research and have finally been able to sum up and draw a few conclusions about "key" turning points in recent history. Now, remember, the title of this entire blog is: When Governments Lie. Let me begin by addressing that:

Yes, of course, every government lies to some extent. Is it because they are a 'government?' In my opinion, no. It's because they're human, and humans are easily corrupted, and they tend to lie. It's not right and that doesn't rationalize or justify anything, only gives a starting point. But, the concern about governments 'lying' is not that "they lie", but why and what the repurcussions to the people are. After all, the world is NOT supposed to be about governments and people are the bystandards... the world's about people, and the governments are just there to help overcome large numbers, communications issues, etc. After all, if it was the former, the government would be the ancient equivalent of the "Gods", who simply went about their business and "we" the people were just in their way. Truth is, those "Gods" faded into nothingness (for the most part), once people realized that this was not a rationale for true "Gods," but corrupt forces. True Gods are benevolent, loving and FAR above and beyond our "emotional" limits and standards.

And, just like the Gods of old, governments that act in this way will soon fall, and people will forget them and abandon them for something better. So - as governments lie - as they decieve, whether it be for "power", or to "protect us" (aka 'national security'), or for any other reason, we the people are directly injured. How? Because, we want to "trust" these folks. That's why we elect them to represent us; thay's why we pay exorbitant taxes for them to put into effect laws against us without our vote and against the better consideration of our Constitution and the majority, hoping against hope, that they can be trusted. Unfortunately, we are not as foolish as we were 65 years ago or so... because the desperation then, has been gone for a while (although I speculate it's quickly going to return...). When people are hungry, they'll do anything to eat. When their families are starving, they'll fall into place to feed them. When governments "create" this situation, when they make it happen, they are "decieving" us. So, let's examine what I 'personally' - in my OWN opinion - NOT yours (as you should always seek to develop your own, whether we agree or not), are some of the MAJOR turning points of more 'recent,' US history. After all, this Nation was formalized its "independence" in 1776 -  232 years ago. I'm only interested in the last 100 years or less... because a LOT can change in a century:

Let me preface all of this by stating here: That America was NOT intended to be a democracy with opposing parties. We were founded as a Republic, at a time when communications were limited/unavailable, and the elected officials would go out amongst the people, hear their voice, and carry it back with them to the President. When Jefferson and Hamilton (hope I'm getting these two names right.. a lot to remember, sorry) came at odds and Washington would no longer run his term, wanting to avoid the same type of Monarchy that the Americans had fled from, two parties developed - one who believed in the Republic - the Republicans, and one who believed in representation AND voting through Democracy, the Democrats. Our perfect union was split asunder almost as soon as it began. But, it was also determined that a balance of power MUST be maintained. And, as the radio talk show host, Glenn Beck, (someone who I give a lot of grief to, but ONLY because I respect him SO tremendously for his capacity as a representative TO the people and I admire for his entrepeneurship of the TRUTH ... most of the time.. hee hee), said, that balance of power existed between Democrat and Republican, each fearing the other, Senate and House, then President to Legislature, then Legislative to Judicial, an on.. all the way down to all four branches fearing the people. Unfortunately, that balance of power is lost because we still choose to vote, we still choose to accept THEIR terms for elected officials and we still choose to vote based upon the 'least' corrupt because WE are afraid of THEM... sadly... there is no longer the balance of power.. and its results.. are what we have today.

The beginning - the first MAJOR turning point, 1917 - 1924 (more or less):
In 1918, we entered into a war that as of yet, had not technically involved us. Churchill warned us that the price of victory would be high - and he was right. But, the US government, which had already met with problems due to the disregulation of international gold/trade levels and blockades, watched as its people grew in outrage and fury at Germany's use of submarines against us, killing 115 Americans on the Lusitania. Suddenly, the President was being pushed to go. And, so, we went. We began with nearly 200,000 people - and quickly learned of the folly of this maneuver, instituting a draft that increased our forces to more than 4 million. To compensate for rising costs, the government began to sell bonds, incur a national debt, became a creditor to the rest of the world (instead of a debtor), with our hands in the world's 'boiling pot' and we began a permanent process of having to constantly increase taxes to compensate for the growing debt. In the wake of all this, the first inklings of using the federal reserve and taxation to increase government budgets, size and power were seen.

The next part of this transformation in our history occurs with the radio. Between 1914 to 1919, civilian "ham" radio broadcasts were suspended, and the government took control of the airways (much as they had done with the newspapers...). As the war ended, the government, who had made great strides in the technology during this time, released control of the radio, but unfortunately, it would soon be taken over by big business that was working WITH the government.

The effects were:

1. Gvt now knew what the people were willing to endure, war-time wise, if assaulted...
2. Gvt now knew the personal benefits of improved, personal salaries and spending budgets from taxation...
3. Gvt now knew the dangers of not being prepared and would demand larger militia and domestic securities...
4. Gvt now knew their ability to begin passing and making major laws, such as taxation, without the need for representation - and Congress no longer would seek to serve the people...
5. Gvt now knew the TRUE power of propoganda on a LARGE scale, and their ability, through fear tactics, to have the people willingly accept the gvt's control of media...
